Great Vets & Staff

I've been going here for 10 + years! Dr. Malone is amazing; very caring Vet ; highly recommend

My schedule limits when I can get in to the clinic so I don't always see the same vet, but their record keeping has prevented that from being an issue. Everyone I have ever seen has been great with my cats, listened to all my concerns, and never attempted to push me into a test or procedure or particular brand of cat food.

Expensive but my older pets are healthy and happy. All of the vets seem to genuinely care for the animals and make you feel like you're in good hands.

I have gone to this vet clinic for maybe 8 months now and I have almost always had a great experience. They are honestly fantastic compared to the vet I had before. Their hours are much longer (open till 8pm on weekdays I am pretty sure), and they are open saturday which is AMAZING. Multiple vets so if one is away no big deal there are other vets to help you. They DO NOT nickle and dime you in my experience, at least compared to other clinics. (When they make a mistake they are good about it, they do their best to explain charges etc, follow up exams after neutering they did not charge for, sometimes they will charge for only a brief consultation and not bill the full $75. Also they could charge several hundred dollars depending on how complicated the dewclaw removal is but they were honest and told me it was easy to remove off my dog so the charges were less). My dog was neutered here and had his dewclaws removed. They were very professional and did a great job. He has healed well. They explained all the charges beforehand as much as they could. HOWEVER, they did forget something important to mention before surgery was done. They should have told me: "After your dog is neutered and dewclaws are removed, you will still need to book several more appointments about 3 or 4 days apart for about 3 or 4 appointments. This is to re-bandage where the dewclaws were removed and to examine the neuter site." Thank God I had a work schedule where I was able to accommodate booking these additional 4 unexpected appointments. Its unfortunate they forgot to tell me about that prior to the surgery but oh well we are all human and we forget things sometimes. You will also be billed at least $35 for each follow up bandaging, and $75 for the initial bandaging. Which I thought was expensive for bandages at first but when you consider the time, effort, careful application and seemingly high quality of the dog bandages it makes sense I guess. You dont want crappy bandages on your dog after surgery so they do a really good bandage job for the price.SO, if you are getting your dog neutered or dewclaws removed, be sure to inquire if there will be additional appointments. Cost was higher than expected ($35 for each follow up bandaging, there will be at least 2 re-bandages, more if your dog gets them dirty). And time required was longer than expected. I had no idea there would be 3 or 4 more vet visits coming over the next 2 weeks mandatory after surgery. It would help if you are made aware of mandatory appointments prior to having surgery done so you can free the time up in your schedule! But its OK its not the end of the world and hopefully they dont make that mistake for the next person. One time I was mistakenly given an expired medicine for my dog, but I do believe it was an honest mistake. I caught the expired date on it before I gave it to my dog so no harm done. Not good but not the end of the world either. Receptionist gave me some pill pockets (chicken flavoured pockets to help dogs eat bitter antibiotic pills) for the antibiotic pills for free as an apology for the experience so I was happy about that. They have been really good to me.OVERALL, They have been super helpful, more affordable, helped me save money by showing me a more affordable regular flea/tick preventative treatment. Their hours are longer and theyre open Saturday. They have multiple vets so when you see different vets you get different perspectives and learn new things from each one so that is really great. Not only that but the vets seem genuinely caring and the office staff are all fantastic. They are sensitive to my time and try not to waste it.SOOO many good reasons I switched to Lynn Valley Vet Clinic over my old vet. They are so much better than my old vet and I highly reccomend them.
