Staff was not very helpful in helping customers find flowers. One lady was in looking for some flowers for a funeral. The staff member was very flippant with her when she asked what might look good for the funeral reception. The staff seemed very uninterested in helping this woman find the right flowers for her funeral and even became verbally frustrated when asked further questions regarding cost and delivery. Poor service. Would not suggest going here if you don't know EXACTLY what you'd like to get.
If there was a zero I'd give a zero.I went in there about a month ago late April to get a dozen roses and two single roses to propose to my now Fiance. I mentioned that I was proposing to the lady helping me (I believe it was the owner as well) and she didn't respond in a welcoming way or at all really. I mean, at least say congrats. They she starts pulling out some roses very quickly despite myself mentioning that I want the best ones (I'm proposing, who wouldn't want the best ones) and she states that they're all in great shape (I wasn't too sure about that). Then she proceeds to the check out quickly and begins arranging them, with what I thought were too many leaves still hanging off the roses - not very easy on the eyes in my opinion. She grabs a green ribbon and begins to tie it around the roses. I ask her if she could use red instead, WHICH IS MY FIANCE'S favourite colour. She replied saying "she's just gonna take it off anyway when they're placed in water." I told her it doesn't matter, I want red, it's my fiancs favourite colour (it's all in the details, especially if you're proposing). She begrudgingly cuts of the green she already started tying and grabs some red ribbon and says, "this is going to make it look cheap, but okay." At this point I had enough, in my mind I'm thinking "are you f##cking kidding me", I'm buying the flowers so I have every right to make such requests and shouldn't have to argue about it. So I stopped her and told her something like: "you know what, I'm going somewhere else. I know what my fianc likes and you shouldn't be arguing with me about that. I'm proposing, and this just feels like way off. This isn't the way to do business," and I left. This experience felt rushed, I didn't feel welcomed, argued with the owner about what colour my fianc likes, etc.Absolutely terrible. This is the first time I've ever written a bad review for anyone, ever. Perhaps because it struck a personal chord because I was proposing. But it still pops up in my mind from time to time. I mean, when someone says they just got engaged, especially in a flower shop, you congratulate them. PERIOD. Maybe this lady/owner - 5'7" ish, medium build, long blonde/light brown hair, 50's - was having a bad day, month, maybe year. But that's no exuse.
Margitta is one of the kindest ladies you could meet. She and her staff go out of their way to be helpful to arrange what colours, textures you would like. Her pricing is very good. Many times when my children were younger I would ask for a gift certificate or flowers for tables for the school functions and she would not hesitate to help. She is very community spirited.
Great customer service, friendly staffs. I asked to several florists to estimate my wedding flowers and most of them gave me over $2000-2500, but Margitta gave me super reasonable prices including delivery. Jaw dropping!!
Amazing and helpful service with short notice and about three mins to closing time. Can't thank them enough for wonderful flowers and great vase with three mins notice. Amazing.
