Sam replaced my gas water heater the morning after it died. He offers prompt and friendly service, and cleans up well after the job.
On Friday afternoon Fortis changed our gas meter and did not turn on the gas. We needed a gas fitter quickly. Sam was at our house within 30 minutes and solved the issue. In addition, charged a very reasonable rate for the after hours service. Thank you Sam.
Good service and very reasonable price
Holy Cow! I phoned to ask him to get a quote. The answer I got? Lengthy lecture of how he could give a quote explaining that he should come on site and see before he could quote as he had no idea of what kind of job would be involved. Fair enough.... But, the information he was giving was not the problem I have as he probably wanted to educate an ignorant customer regarding how it would work. The problem? His rather horribly condescending attitude in an effort of educating me. All I wanted was to ask how much he would quote for an hourly labor whatever the fee would be. To me, it was fairly a simple question. But what I got was far more I expected. Well.... I educated myself doing some researches how to check gas leak and restart the pilot light on a fireplace. Well, it turns out, it was a 10 minute job and he would charge over $ 120 (for a minimum hourly labor at least) plus GST and material if applied. I have ran into quite a number of trade people now over the years in process of renovation to sell homes and buy. People like this one is the reason, sometimes, I do not wait for or expect trade people do the job for me and I do it myself.
