Fresh sushi for a reasonable price. Came here there times in a row and still want more. Amaebi shrimp is sushi with the shell taken off and fried separately. Yummy!! Totally impressed.
There are far too many Japanese restaurants in town, and it is a struggle to find one that exceeds your expectations in quality, but Hachi Hana definitely has!Small, cosy place, which is consistently busy all throughout the day. Servers are well-trained and very knowledgeable in regards to what is and isn't available.The restaurant strives for freshness in their food. At times, it may seem expensive depending on what is being ordered. But once you try it, you will understand how this restaurant maintains so many regulars. It is definitely incomparable to the rest of the sushi restaurants on this street.Highly recommended to people who want to experience what fresh fish really tastes like!

Surprisingly delicious sushi place in North Van! Interesting and unique rolls. Price is a bit on the expensive side of $13 to $15 per specialty roll but they were quite delicious! The Bento box for lunch has a nice variety of everything. They only serve Sockeye salmon which is quite a treat! Friendly staff despite being super busy for lunch time. Small restaurant with limited seating. Worth making a reservation to try their rolls for sure! Nice presentation of the food too!
All the staff are friendly and energetic and smiling. They all say hi and greet you as soon as you enter. The sushi looks like art but also tastes fresh and phenomenal. Highly recommend.!
